Bermondsey Project was a unique arts hub in South East London which ran from 2010 to 2014. Set up by the homelessness charity Crisis in partnership with studio and arts education provider Bow Arts, it also provided a base for London Sculpture Workshop, London Community Furniture, over 140 artists studios, a gallery and cinema and Crisis Skylight Bermondsey – an arts and vocational college for ex homeless people.
It was a truly collaborative venture that has become one of London’s most vital arts communities and a key player in the cultural renaissance of Bermondsey.
The gallery presented a varied programme of exhibitions and events promoting emerging artists and group shows alongside exhibitions that focus on issues around social exclusion. More information about past exhibitions is available on this website.
