Film Night: Dead Man by Jim Jarmusch

We would like to invite you to our next screening on Monday 14 October which coincides with Columbus Day (for our friends in the America’s).

Rather than accepting the day (and myth) of The America’s as newly ‘discovered’, we will be showing 1995 Indie film Dead Man by Jim Jarmusch, a film which challenges some perceptions of the romanticised American West as a land unpeopled and/or inhabited by savages with a more considerate representation of native American culture.

Film Synopsis: On the run after murdering a man, accountant William Blake encounters a strange North American man named Nobody who prepares him for his journey into the spiritual world.   Plus beautiful cinematography by Robby Muller, starring Johnny Depp, Gary Farmer & Crispin Glover.
